Wooden Flooring

There are 2 types of wood flooring, solid & engineered boards.

Solid wood flooring is made of solid wood boards, as the name suggests, usually 14mm to 20mm thick. Solid wood can be sanded more often so you can rejuvenate your floor every few years.

Engineered flooring has a veneer of solid wood, usually between 4-5mm thick, then made up of different grades of wood to take the thickness to around 14mm.

Engineered flooring is designed to be a floating floor and is ideal for areas where solid wood flooring cannot be fitted. Most engineered boards come with a click system so makes installation quick and stress free.
